Rabbi Yechezkel Cohen, who joined Ner Aryeh in capacity as Rosh Hayeshiva in 2009, received his Smicha Yoreh Yoreh / Yadin Yadin from the Rabbinical Seminary of America, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim. He is well known for his warm rapport with all students, and his keen ability to understand each student’s individual needs. In addition to his administrative duties, Rabbi Cohen teaches the highest level Gemara Shiur in the high school.
Rabbi Benyomin Lieberman
Rabbi Benyomin Lieberman received his Smicha Yoreh Yoreh / Yadin Yadin from the Rabbinical Seminary of America, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim. Having joined Ner Aryeh in 2009 in the capacity of Rosh Hayeshiva, Rabbi Lieberman is known for his outgoing personality, and has become beloved to students and community members alike. Rabbi Lieberman also teaches in the high school, serves as Director of Development, and is involved in the Yeshiva’s community outreach programs.
Rabbi Yochanan Weiner
Rabbi Yochanan Weiner is one of the founders of Ner Aryeh, and heads the Beis Medrash Program together with with Rabbi Yechezkel Cohen. He received his Smicha Yoreh Yoreh / Yadin Yadin from the Rabbinical Seminary of America, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, and has been teaching since 2001. Rabbi Weiner is renowned for his in-depth and analytical gemara shiurim which has made him a very popular teacher, both among his Ner Aryeh students, and within the community. He teaches the highest level Beis Midrash Shiur in Ner Aryeh. Rabbi Weiner also has extensive experience in adult education, including Chovos Halevovos and advanced gemara classes for adults.

Rabbi Avrohom M. Mendelson
Rabbi Avraham Moshe Mendelson is the Assistant Menahel of Ner Aryeh and teaches 10th grade Gemara Iyun and Chumash. He received his Smicha Yoreh Yoreh / Yadin Yadin from the Rabbinical Seminary of America, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, and joined the staff of Ner Aryeh in 2010. As Assistant Menahel of the high school, Rabbi Mendelson provides assistance the talmidim to make sure that all of their personal and academic needs are met.

Rabbi Akiva Engel
Rabbi Akiva Engel, who has been teaching for over 15 years, is the 9th grade Rebbi at Ner Aryeh. He learned at Torah Ohr in yerushalayim for many years. Rabbi Engel’s warmth and sincerity has made him a favorite in Los Angeles. Besides for his Iyun Shiur, he gives shiurim on Halacha, Chumash and Bekius in the high school.
Rabbi Daniel Weinstock
Rabbi Daniel Weinstock, who has been teaching in Los Angeles for the last 6 years, directs the Bekius Beis Medrash program in the afternoons. After attending Yeshivas Torah Temimah in Brooklyn and Mir in Yerushalayim, he spent five intensive years at the famed Beis Medrash Gevohah in Lakewood. Besides for overseeing the Bekius program he also is well known for his very practical Mussar seder which he learns with the students
Mr. Jason Strouse
During his fifteen year career as an educator and administrator, Mr. Strouse has served in many capacities. Beginning his career as a football coach and AP English teacher at Lincoln High School in East Los Angeles. He later worked at St. Monica High School, Thousand Oaks High School, and as English Department Chair of the AGBU school in Canoga Park. He holds a B.A. in English from the University of California-Berkeley and an M.F.A. in Writing from UCLA.

Mr. Jeffrey Berkeley
Mr. Berkeley went to California State University, Northridge, where he earned a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in physics in 1990. He is a fully credentialed secondary school teacher in the state of California. He has taught high school and college chemistry, physics and AP Calculus in the general LA and Portland metro areas, both private and public, for about thirty years.. In addition to his work at Ner Aryeh, he is currently teaching mathematics at Beverly Hills High School.

Mr. Robert Stai
Robert Stai has been with Yeshivas Ner Aryeh for 6 years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Los Angeles, majoring in history, with a minor in mathematics. His interests include astronomy, photography, and historical simulation gaming.
Mr. Shem Guzman
Mr. Guzman has been a teacher for nearly two decades at a variety levels ranging from middle school to college. He attended UCLA, CSUN, and Hunter College, and he holds an MA in history. Prior to joining the staff at Ner Aryeh, Shem taught for five years at Shaare Torah in Brooklyn, NY.
